When you sign up for the sketchbook project, you pick a theme, fill in a notebook that they send you, and submit it to become part of their permanent collection and digital archive. The library then tours the country (its headquarters is in Williamsburg) and you get notified every time someone views your sketchbook. I wished I could just pick up any of the books at will instead of using a library system, because I love seeing people’s sketchbooks (it’s like a little peek inside their brains). I kinda want to submit one even though it sounds a bit intimidating.

Melvins - Night Goat (Live)
So, this week the Melvins are stopping by Brooklyn on their 50-states-in-50-days tour, albeit without Big Business, but Buzz and Dale in a trio sound as heavy as this. I may be denied, but I am hoping they play some 80s Ozma/Gluey Porch Treatments sludge.
Craft Spells - I don’t think they’re old enough to be out this late but great show. (Taken with Instagram at Glasslands Gallery)
