Damn it. This Japanese maple in the Portland Japanese garden is probably the most photographed tree in the world, and it looks stunning every time every time I see another photo of it in my feeds. Each one leads to an unreasonable urge to get on a plane and go find this impossibly pretty tree. I guess it’s as good a reason to leave town as going to California to eat tacos, right?
